A special thanks

May 13, 2010

Many thanks to the leadership of Hillsborough Lodge No. 25, who drew a record number of views to this site on May 11, 2010.

Now, wise counsel whispered in regards is this:  the truth will set you free and those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

Resolve and release animosity;  felon Foster’s off-putting derisiveness mustn’t linger in his absence.  Only when the “palpable tension,” quest for “power in the lodge,” and threat of Masonic charges for any act performed or word spoken (triviality notwithstanding) cease can those offended feel welcome within the fold.

Masonic leaders must remain cognizant and consistent in action, largely through disallowing personal opinions and  judgements to obstruct that which is best for the Craft.

That Brothers are not all friends or like one another’s friends and viewpoints vary is moot.  As evidenced on grade school playgrounds across the globe:  not everyone is going to get along but all can be civil, cordial, and respectful.

Genuine mutual respect and unity will heal the wounds and allow advancement of the Craft;  room does not exist for factions, quads, frauds, felons, cancers, and self-aggrandizing agendas.

Most Brothers pay dues for opportunities beyond hating others on Tuesday and Thursday nights; kindly settle your squabbles outside and let all enjoy Masonry’s true intents in a peaceful environment

Simply put:  practice what you preach.

Leaders, let the sins of the past serve as valuable lessons in shaping the future.  After all, what is the likelihood of another thrice convicted felon fraudulently entering the Order and rising through the ranks to become Worshipful Master and yet another Chaplain appearing in history’s highest grossing pornographic film?

Forget not this simple, ancient truth:  O, ‘tis excellent To have a giant’s strength, but it is tyrannous To use it like a giant!

Again, thank you; keep up the good work.

A note for new visitors:  To fully grasp Felon-free Masonry, please refer to the first posting at the bottom of the page;  James Anderson “Jimmy” Foster’s lengthy criminal history as provided by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
