Obligation: a binding promise, contract, sense of duty. A social, legal, or moral requirement.

May 12, 2010

Described as the foundation of Freemasonry, the Masonic obligation is considered to be what makes a man a Mason.  As it’s not uncommon for  brethren to forget the words, some suggest repeating it a few times weekly to boost remembrance.

However, wouldn’t practicing it daily-as a living embodiment-far supersede mere verbal repitition?

Cliche’ but true:  actions speak louder than words.
